Children of older adults can underestimate the ‘investment energy’ that can take a toll on their own lives. EMOTIONAL HEALTH Take some ‘me’ time. Get care coverage for a few hours and go do something fun or meaningful for yourself. Don’t remain isolated. Keep your own social contacts. Not doing so will increase your stress and resentment. Find a support group. This is key to sharing with others that are in your same situation. Share ideas and emotional support. Reduce stress. Find ways to relax and quite yourself.
